Grow Up!

Nov 4, 2018    Shawn Brewer    1 Corinthians 3:1-4

How's your diet? I hate this question more than just about anything else someone can ask me. I know I need to eat better and there are moments in my life where I do. When I do, it really works and then I think, "wow, I can do this anytime." And then I stop. Sound familiar?
This morning we are going to jump into chapter three of Paul's first letter to the church at Corinth where he begins to instruct them in how to continue the walk towards maturity. Our walk towards maturity really centers in on our diet. No, not a physical diet, but the things that we put in our lives and give influence to, based upon the spiritual life we have been called to live.
As we work through a couple of points in Paul's letter, connect what we are talking about to what we examined last week. I am either going to operate in the spiritual realm, which will influence how I act and work in the natural realm, or I am going to operate and be influenced by the natural realm with no thought to the spiritual side of things. As a believer in Christ, we really aren't given that option. Let's decide today, right now, to settle once and for all that I am going to understand my ability to see dually how the natural fit into God's overall plan and put ourselves on a diet fit for The King.
