Marriage, Hmmm... Part 2
We are looking forward to celebrating with you as we engage in life-changing worship centered on the person of Jesus Christ. The great thing about how we do things here is that we focus on the truth that never changes.
As we look into our study this morning, we are going to examine the next part of Paul's instructions to the church at Corinth concerning marriage. I was reading this past week in Deuteronomy chapter 16:4. In that verse, God asked the nation of Israel to remove all the leaven, not just from their houses, but from their whole territory. There is a level of holiness that God expects and deserves from our lives.
The idea of God's holiness is the central theme of our focus this morning. The God of the Ages has written down his instructions for life. We find those in the Bible. As we look at our passage this morning, we will be challenged to seek God's direction for our specific standing before the Lord, to make sure that we are keeping ourselves pure above all else and that no matter where we have been or are, we seek to reach for God's standards as our ideal.
Many times, in life, you will have those moments where you are trying to get somewhere and no matter how much help you get from Alexa, Siri, or Google, you can't get there from here. With Christ, that isn't the case. Due to the Cross, God's reset means, wherever you are, you can get to where you need to be in Jesus from here. We are glad you are here to walk and learn this truth with us.
