Marriage, Hmmm... Part 1

What a great day to gather together with the family of God and celebrate who Jesus is in our lives today. We are so glad that you made this your place to worship the Risen Christ as we lift up the name of Jesus in all that we do.
This morning, we are going to begin a four-week look at marriage. The home, based upon marriage between one man and one woman, is God's perfect idea. God the Father set up the home in Genesis and most of the instruction about how to live our lives of faith come through instruction to and for the home.
The home was not only the basis for how to live the practical parts of life, but it was also the basic unit for teaching all things related to faith. It is as precise as we have forgotten this or abandoned these truths and principles that our society and our world has picked up speed in its fall.
No matter what your home looks like, no matter if you are married or not, were married and aren't now, don't want to ever get married or are searching frantically for that perfect completer, knowing God's ideal is essential. We need to know it so that no matter what our current state is, we can pass on to the next generation God's perfect instruction for the home and for marriage. I am looking forward to sharing with you as we continue our look at the church at Corinth. We are glad you are here.
