The Work of Fellowship (1)
Memorial Day, a day that we honor those who have given their lives in service to our country. We, as a part of the body of Christ, gather every single Sunday as a memorial, a remembrance of the One who gave His life for us.
We are continuing to work our way through the book of 1st Corinthians. In the set of verses we will work through this morning, there is instruction about a specific act of memorial that the early church participated in. We know it as the Lord’s Supper.
Over the next three weeks, we are going to take a look at what Paul taught this group of people about what they did and how they went about it. On Sunday, June 9th, we will participate in the Lord’s Supper in both morning services.
I am excited about what we are going to work through and its impact on the daily practice of our lives. We are called to be a part of fellowship and more importantly, a part of the fellowship. The life of the believer is not meant to be lived in isolation. Your enemy, the Devil, seeks to get you into isolation so that he can hound you and discourage you. This is his plan for each and every child of the Living God. Don’t let him.
Find a way to learn and to plug in somewhere for your own spiritual health. We are glad you are here. And we look forward to being used by God to be a part of your walk of faith for both you and your family.
