Here's Your Sign
We are so glad you have joined us this morning to celebrate the Risen Christ. But first things first. You can't have a Risen Christ without a baby Jesus. For the next few weeks, we are going to examine the Christmas story through the Gospel of Luke.
Luke was a physician who undertook to write a researched account of the life, work, and ministry of Jesus Christ. Being a doctor, he brought all of the investigative thought processes in searching out causes and cures to search out the greatest cure for the greatest illness in the world.
We are all sick to death of one "disease", the disease of sin. Jesus is the cure. But to be cured, we have to be more than just vaccinated against the process of sin in our lives. The Bible calls for us to be "set free from the law of sin and death."
Today, we are going to look at John the Baptizer and his coming onto the scene. Zechariah gets the vision for a specific time and a specific purpose in life. God's got a plan. Let's dive in as we begin the celebration of who Jesus is right now today. I am glad to be serving here with you.
