Here He Comes!

This morning we are going to go into the second part of our series, "It's Happening." Remember, in the midst of God's big plan, He is also in the business of meeting us individually at the point of our felt needs and "lifting" us up.
As we continue exploring the story of Jesus' birth and the overshadowing of Mary by the Holy Spirit, there are some practical aspects of our faith to discover. How does what God is doing on the "big" level touch me in my personal life?
God was fulfilling prophecy from hundreds of years before the birth of Christ, checking each box in one swift, timely, accurate moment. The writer of Hebrews tells us that we all have an appointment date (Hebrews 9:27). God kept His appointment (Romans 5:6).
There is a promise. God keeps His promises. We are going to look at how God's promises mean that we can operate our lives in Christ's victory. We can shout at Christmas time, "Thanks be to God who gives us this victory in Christ Jesus our Lord." (1 Corinthians 15:57)
