WHO'S NEXT | 21 day prayer guide

Thank you for committing to pray for guidance and blessing as we walk this journey together. We believe God is working in this community, and that we — the people of Victory Life Church — have a unique opportunity to partner with Him as He transforms lives.
We're asking everyone who calls VLC home to commit to 21 days of prayer. Submit your heart and mind to God, and listen to the Holy Spirit as He seeks to transform and lead each of us.

WEEK ONE

DAY 1

Psalm 25:4-5
"Make me to know your ways, O Lord;
    teach me your paths.
Lead me in your truth and teach me,
    for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all the day long."

Begin these 21 days by inviting God to speak through His word and Spirit—quieting distractions, sharpening your sensitivity to His leading, and preparing your heart to obey.

DAY 2

Psalm 103:2
“Bless the Lord, O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits.”

Take time to praise God for His faithfulness. Recall 2 or 3 ways He's worked in your life this past year and thank Him.

DAY 3

Hebrews 10:24-25
"And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near."

Thank God for using His church–and the people at VLC–to encourage you, strengthen your faith, and help you become more like Christ.

DAY 4

Philippians 1:6
"And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ."

God has been faithful to VLC, and He’s still working among us. Thank Him for what He’s already done, and ask Him to reveal what He desires to do in and through us this special season.

DAY 5

Luke 19:10
“For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Many around us don't yet know Jesus or have a church family. Pray for softened hearts and open doors as we reach people where they are, and ask God to bring someone specific to mind to pray for and invite.

DAY 6

1 John 1:9
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Spend time honestly before God, receiving the forgiveness made possible through Jesus. Thank Him for His mercy, and reflect on the ways His grace has healed, restored, and changed your life.

DAY 7

1 Peter 4:10
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace:"

Pray for every ministry at VLC. Ask God to work through each leader and volunteer so that people are welcomed, relationships are strengthened, the lost are reached, and believers grow deeper with Christ.

WEEK TWO

DAY 8

Ephesians 5:15-16
“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil."

Thank God for the gift of time and each day He’s given you. Ask Him for wisdom to use it for His glory and the good of others.

DAY 9

1 Thessalonians 1:2-3
"We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ."

So many people are impacted each week through the faithful service of VLC volunteers. Thank God for those who quietly give their time and love, and ask Him to encourage and strengthen them.

DAY 10

Romans 12:6
"Having gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let us use them: if prophecy, in proportion to our faith;"

God has given every believer gifts to be used for His glory. Thank Him for the gifts He's placed in you, and ask Him to show you where you can serve and make an eternal difference.

DAY 11

Hebrews 13:7
“Remember your leaders, those who spoke to you the word of God. Consider the outcome of their way of life, and imitate their faith.”

Pray for VLC's pastors, elders, staff, and leaders across every ministry. Ask God to give them wisdom, unity, strength, protection, and a fresh filling of His Spirit as they lead and serve.

DAY 12

Matthew 6:21
“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Everything we have comes from God and is entrusted to our care. Ask Him to shape your priorities and show how your finances can make a lasting Kingdom impact.

DAY 13

Ephesians 4:2-3
"with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace."

Pray that God fills VLC with grace, peace, and unity throughout WHO'S NEXT, guarding our fellowship and keeping our hearts centered on Jesus and His mission.

DAY 14

Psalm 78:4
"We will not hide them from their children,
but tell to the coming generation
the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might,
and the wonders that he has done."

Seek God's direction for your part in reaching the next person, family, and generation. Ask how your prayers, service, and generosity can help lead others to Christ.

WEEK THREE

DAY 15

Romans 12:1
“I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”

Following Jesus means putting His will and others' needs ahead of our comfort. Ask what sacrifice looks like for your family, and pray for faith and unity in responding to His leading.

DAY 16

1 Peter 5:7
“casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”

God invites you to bring every burden to Him. Name your worries, needs, and questions, then trust them to His loving hands.

DAY 17

2 Thessalonians 3:3
“But the Lord is faithful. He will establish you and guard you against the evil one.”

Pray for God's protection over every individual and family at VLC. Ask Him to strengthen marriages, restore relationships, guard our children and young people, and create spiritual hunger throughout our church family.

DAY 18

1 Timothy 2:1-2
"First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way.”

Pray for teachers, first responders, and all who serve our community. Ask God to give them wisdom and integrity, and use His people as instruments of truth and hope.

DAY 19

Psalm 139:23-24
“Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!"

Invite God to examine your heart, words, and actions. Confess anything that doesn't honor Him, receive His forgiveness, and ask Him to lead you in a life that reflects Christ.

DAY 20

James 1:5
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him."

Pray for the Building Team as they make important decisions and lead us through this project, asking God for wisdom, discernment, unity, endurance, and protection for them and their families.

DAY 21

Ephesians 3:20-21
“Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

The future is bright—not because we know every detail, but because God is faithful and in control. Praise Him for what He's done, thank Him for what He's doing, and trust Him for what's still to come. Ask God to use VLC to bring the saving hope of Jesus to more people for generations to come.
