Charles Spurgeon was once asked whether reading the Bible or praying is more important. To which he responded, “What is more important, breathing in or breathing out?” Both are essential for spiritual life. Let’s not choose one over the other, but commit to corporately living in the tension of doing both.
In this season, as we discern together God’s direction for our property, let’s be like the Bereans—searching the Scriptures—and also seek Him in prayer, asking, “Father, give us Your vision for the next generation in Lubbock, Texas.”

SUNDAY | DISCERNMENT
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him."
James 1:5
James 1:5
What a promise – if you ask God for wisdom, it will be given to you. He gives generously and without reproach. It is His good please to give – so ask.
Prayer Prompts:
• Lord, in what areas of my life do I need wisdom? Will you supply it for me?
• Father, give us wisdom and clear discernment in every decision regarding the Next Gen Vision building project.

MONDAY | GOSPEL CENTRALITY
"For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures,"
1 Corinthians 15:3-4
1 Corinthians 15:3-4
The good news of the gospel is not something you experience only at salvation and then move beyond. It is central to every aspect of our lives as believers – the foundation of our faith and the basis for our ongoing sanctification. We may disagree on many things, but that Christ died for our sins, was buried, rose again to reign in heaven, and will return, is a truth that should permeate every part of our lives and shape us completely.
Prayer Prompts:
• Jesus, thank you for your sacrifice! Would you make the gospel real in my heart and transform the direction of my life?
• Father, may the gospel be central in every decision we make regarding the property You’veentrusted to us.

TUESDAY | STEWARDSHIP
"As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God's varied grace:"
1 Peter 4:10
1 Peter 4:10
God gives gifts to every believer. They differ from person to person and are given with purpose. Some are given mercy, some wisdom, some wealth – but none are meant to be kept to ourselves. They are given to serve one another.
Prayer Prompts:
• Lord, show me the gifts you have given me and how to steward them.
• Father, help us steward what You’ve entrusted us to further Your Kingdom in the next generation in Lubbock, TX.

WEDNESDAY | FASTING
"Then I turned my face to the Lord God, seeking him by prayer and pleas for mercy with fasting and sackcloth and ashes."
Daniel 9:3
Daniel 9:3
John Piper calls fasting “a hunger for Christ.” When fasting from food, hunger pangs will come. Let them remind you to ask your Heavenly Father to feed you with His sustaining nourishment. He is the bread of life.
Prayer Prompts:
• Lord, give me a deeper hunger for Christ and a heart that seeks Him diligently.
• Father, show us. Do we hunger for Christ or do we seek comfort in worldly nourishment?

THURSDAY | UNITY + COMMUNITY
"Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!"
Psalm 133:1
Psalm 133:1
David compares unity to “the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountain of Zion.” Zion’s heat was intense, but the dew brought moisture and life, making vegetation lush and alive. What a beautiful metaphor! Unity in community refreshes the believer in seasons that feel dry and overwhelming.
Prayer Prompts:
• Lord, show me with whom I need to seek unity and provide me with community that rejuvinates my soul.
• Father, may our church walk in unity as we seek Your direction and make decisions for the Next Gen Vision building project.

FRIDAY | SENDING CHURCH
"How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”"
Romans 10:14-15
Romans 10:14-15
You cannot share what you haven’t first received. For the gospel to spread, believers must be willing to go. Paul challenges us to be bold witnesses – stepping out of our comfort zones to preach the Good News and embracing the purpose for which we were sent.
Prayer Prompts:
• Father, who in my life needs to hear about the good news of Christ?
• Father, help us be a church that sends people to share the gospel with the unreached. Help us faithfully share right here in Lubbock with the next generation.

SATURDAY | DISCIPLE MAKING
"and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men,[a] who will be able to teach others also."
2 Timothy 2:2
2 Timothy 2:2
Disciple making doesn’t happen by accident – it must be intentional. There’s a difference between “being discipled” and “making disciples”: one is receiving, learning, and practicing, the other is leading and initiating that process in others by the power of the Spirit.
Prayer Prompts:
• Father, put people in my life who pour knowledge into me and encourage me to do the same for others.
• Father, what is one step I can take right now to be more purposeful in being made into a disciple and to make disciples of others?
• Father, lead us to be a church that follows Jesus’ commission to make disciples of all nations.
